On the other hand online courses that are teacher facilitated have certain deadlines and times that you need to do your work so you will need to be more available than with a straight online course.

Blended

There are also blended courses for TEFL. A blended course is a mixture between an online course and face-to-face course. The benefit of this is that you can take the online part during your own time and you also have the benefit of a teacher.
